Located in Kagawa Prefecture, which has a mild climate, Utazu is a town facing the Seto Inland Sea and surrounded by mountains on three sides. At the foot of the Seto Ohashi Bridge, this town has long been a bustling hub where people and goods come and go, both in the past and present. The port gathered goods from various regions, which were then transported upstream through the Daisoku River flowing through the town toward the mountains. Along its basin, rice farming thrived. Various cultures have flowed into this region from both the sea and the mountains, blending and evolving over time. Now, efforts are underway to explore its roots and create new attractions.
